I also include some "toys." I noticed when I visited the animation studios at Disney World that all of the animators had there workstations full of music CDs and toys. I was impressed by how it created a "playful" and imaginative environment. I followed suit. It feels like play, rather than work.

I have my "horse clock" from the 1950's and horse books. These are some of the precious inspirational memorabilia I had as a kid. 

There are five copies of Black Beauty, one published in 1895 and another in 1927.

The door on the left enters into the studio utility room with a wash tub. The door on the right is a large step-in storage closet with generous deep and tall shelves.


A wash tub and storage utility area adjacent to the studio makes cleanup easy and convenient.

I am a real stickler for brush and equipment care.

Additional counter space and storage takes the maintenance supplies out of the main studio room.
